Record Corrections & Removal Policy

Dedicated to data accuracy, public trust, and homeowner privacy. Property owners, licensed pumpers, and county sanitarians can request free record updates or privacy redactions.

1. Our Zero-Cost Accuracy Commitment

If any public record indexed on County Septic Records contains outdated information, clerical typographical errors from original county microfiche scans, or has been superseded by a newly installed replacement system or municipal sewer conversion, our editorial desk will update or correct our index promptly upon notification.

There is never any fee or charge to submit a correction, file update, or privacy redaction. We do not participate in pay-for-removal schemes.

2. How to Submit an Update or Correction

To ensure prompt processing, please email our records verification desk at [email protected] or use our Contact Form with the following information:

  • Page URL: The exact link on our website where the record or county page is located.
  • Parcel Identifier: The Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN / PIN / TMK) or physical street address.
  • Nature of Discrepancy: A brief explanation of the requested update (e.g., replacement aerobic system installed in 2024, tank capacity discrepancy, connection to municipal sewer, clerical typo).
  • Verification Documentation (Optional): A copy of the newly issued county certificate of completion, health department sign-off, or licensed pumper invoice.

3. Homeowner Privacy & Sensitive Redaction Policy

While septic permits are public records established for groundwater protection, we respect individual residential privacy. If you are a homeowner, law enforcement officer, domestic safety program participant, or resident requesting personal name redaction or parcel suppression from our search index, we will honor your request promptly.

Please send your request to [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Redaction Request." Redaction requests are reviewed and fulfilled within 24 to 48 business hours.

4. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Notice

County Septic Records respects intellectual property rights. All permit records and regulatory texts are indexed from public domain government files. If you believe that any material residing on or accessible through our website infringes a copyright you own or control, please send a written notification to our Designated DMCA Agent containing:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
